Image Masters

Image Masters

What began in the summer of 2010 as a little Saturday fun with a few chamber and arts council members shooting some photos in downtown Hamilton has evolved into a lot of fun and a full-fledged photo and film club, the Image Masters. The Image Masters are now an official entity of the Northwest Alabama Arts Council, Inc., and meet on an as-called basis. This group holds seminars and photo shoots throughout Marion County and adjoining counties and then post-shoot holds "viewing parties" where photographers observe and review the artistic endeavors of their fellow photographers.

The Image Masters serve multiple purposes, to include, individual photography improvement, storage and retention of photos for potential movie/television site locations, and promotion of businesses and tourism in the northwest Alabama region. Each seminar averages approximately 30 participants, and is usually done at a minimal cost to participants.

Honors for the group include displaying of photographs at the Jerry Brown Arts Festival. Additionally, many Image Masters photographs have been featured in the Journal Record, the official Marion County newspaper, and have had photographs requested by governmental and tourism entities throughout the State of Alabama for promotion of the local area.
